Our Guardian Angel program promotes generosity and service to others by encouraging random acts of kindness.
At the beginning of camp, each camper and staff member is given someone to secretly watch over. The guardian angels perform small tasks, leave little gifts, and send encouraging notes. They also use their crafts time or their tuck shop tokens to have mementos or candy to give. This spreads joy and ensures even first-time campers feel welcomed.
Cabin chores provide another opportunity to help. Each cabin takes turns setting up and cleaning the mess hall for each meal and keeping the camp bathrooms clean. Campers work with each other to keep their cabins neat and tidy throughout the week.
At the last camp breakfast, everyone gets to reveal who they were guardian angel for during the week and say thank you to their own guardian angel.
